RACING HIGHLIGHTS

2012.  Grant suffered an injury at round three of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, and missed seven races.  When he returned, he podiumed at the New Orleans round with a second place.  Grant earned sixth overall in series points during the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, with a podium finish at the Steel City round.

2011.  Grant suffered a torn ACL at just the second round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series.  He returned to action at the Budd’s Creek round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series, only to injure his other knee at the following round in Lakewood, Colo., ending his season.

2010.  Josh Grant looked very fast going into the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series, but a hard crash just a week before the opener resulted in serious injury to his shoulder, causing him to miss the entire series.  He started the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship with a second place in his first moto back, and won a moto at the Lakewood, Colo. round before injuring his other shoulder, forcing him to miss the last three rounds of the series.  He was still credited with seventh in series points.

2009.
Grant won the 2009 AMA Supercross season opener in Anaheim, Calif.  The win was his first in the premier division, and gave the JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha Team its first supercross victory.  Grant went on to earn two additional podiums, fourth in series points, and top-ranked rookie status.  Grant then podiumed at the opening round of the AMA Motocross Series.  He won his first overall 450 Class motocross victory on July 4, 2009 at the Buchanan, Mich. round of the series.  He podiumed again at the Washougal, Wash. round.  While second in AMA Motocross Series points, Grant encountered injury while qualifying at X Games 15 during the Moto X competition.  After fracturing his ankles, he attempted to race again at the Budd’s Creek, Md. round of the AMA Motocross Series only three weeks after the injury.  Grant ran as high as fourth, but two minor crashes ruined his chances to stay at the top of the series points so he sat out the remaining seven motos of the series.  Even so, Grant was still sixth in series points for the year.
