Yamaha
Service Training Program

Yamaha offers two levels of technician training for Yamaha dealership
Service Department personnel. The Five Star Certification
Program is the first level. This program provides a strong
foundation for the technician so he or she can continue to advance
in knowledge and confidence. This self-paced, at-work training program
consists of five categories, each represented by a Star. The technician
learns from videos, studies the textbooks, and passes a test in each
category to become Five Star Certified.

The Five Star Certification Program also contains
training for the service manager. Only after the service manager and
at least one technician are certified does the dealership become a
Five Star Certified Dealer. |

| The second level of technician training
is the Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA). This Yamaha
Certified Technician Program covers three levels of proficiency: Bronze,
Silver, and Gold. |
|
|
 |
| The
Bronze course builds on the foundation of the Five
Star Program. And, like the Five Star Program, is a self-paced, at-work
training. The technician becomes a Yamaha Certified Technician at
the Bronze level, upon successful completion of the Bronze course.

 |
| To complete the YTA Silver level, the
technician must successfully complete an intensive five-day school
at Yamaha’s state-of-the-art training facilities. Here the technician
will go through some of the industry's most comprehensive training.
This training deals with advanced systems troubleshooting and repair
techniques. Once achieving this distinction, the technician gains
Yamaha's recognition as one of the most advanced technicians in the
business, the Yamaha Silver Certified Technician. |
|
|
 |
| Currently under development, the Gold level
represents the highest certification a Yamaha technician can attain.
Like the Silver level, the technician must successfully complete a
five-day course. After meeting the challenges of Yamaha's most demanding
training, the Gold Certified Technician will be the best there is,
and will play a key role in the service department. |
