Our world-first Shift Dampener System (SDS™) uses a splined aft washer and a splined rubber hub to absorb most of the force created by shifting an outboard into gear and eliminate the "clunk" sometimes associated with it. This results in a quieter ride and smoother operation. In fact, it's so effective it's patent-pending. Currently available on all models of Saltwater Series XL 3-bladed propellers for Yamaha 5.3L F350; and for V6s on large boats, all Saltwater Series II 3-bladed props and Saltwater Series HS4 4-bladed propellers.
