| | Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, manufacturer of the toughest, most rugged ATV and Side-by-Side (SxS) vehicles, was recently on hand at the record-setting Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show -- better known as the SHOT Show -- in Orlando, Florida, this January.
This was the third year that Yamaha was the only ATV/SxS manufacturer with a display at the SHOT Show, which is the largest hunting industry event in the world, and it was full of highlights and honors for the ATV maker. Among these honors, Field & Stream magazine editor-in-chief Sid Evans and Time4Outdoors publisher Eric Zinczenko stopped by the Yamaha exhibit on the first day of the Show to officially present its “Best of the Best” ATV Award for the 2007 Grizzly 700 FI Automatic 4x4 ATV.
“The SHOT Show is an important venue for Yamaha Outdoors because our friends, partners and customers are here,” said Steve Nessl, Yamaha ATV/SxS PR Manager. “It is vital that Yamaha support and invest in the outdoor sporting industry because we also live, work and play within this community.”
Yamaha and some of its outdoors partners, including Ducks Unlimited, Safari Club International, Realtree and SureFire, were among the more than 1,800 exhibiters that gathered from all 50 states and 75 countries. In all, exhibitors set new records this year covering 1.3 million square feet of floor space and extending 13 miles of rows between exhibits. |
By the end of the four-day weekend, tens-of-thousands of outdoor hunting and shooting professionals had been to the show, and many of them had stopped by the Yamaha and SureFire exhibits to sign up for a promotional ATV giveaway. Yamaha partnered with SureFire, maker of the world’s finest compact high-intensity flashlights, for the second year to give away a 2007 Grizzly 700 FI Automatic 4x4 ATV at the show. On the final day Al Rothweiler from St. Louis, Missouri, was picked from hundreds of names as the lucky winner of the award-winning Grizzly.
Yamaha has already signed up to exhibit at next year’s SHOT Show, when it returns to Las Vegas, and will undoubtedly be again inviting one of the world’s largest audiences of hunting and shooting professionals to check out the latest and greatest in ATV and SxS vehicles made specifically to meet their needs. |
