Buckmasters Expo 2007, presented by Yamaha, is headed back to the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C., July 27-29.  Yamaha, which was Buckmasters’ original sponsor more than 20 years ago, continues to support the organization’s efforts to represent and promote a positive public image of ethical hunting and an awareness of the essential role of hunting as a necessary conservation tool.

This will be the 21st Buckmasters Expo, which is always an exciting event that attracts thousands of outdoorsmen and women from around the nation.  One of the highlights of the weekend is the Buckmasters Top Bow Indoor World Championship.  Billed as the most exciting archery tournament in America, this competition puts 48 of the country’s top archers in a head-to-head competition within the famous Buckmasters 3-D Sport Target System.  The winner will walk away with a $25,000 cash prize and a Grizzly 350 4x4 IRS Camouflage ATV.  One lucky raffle winner will also take home a big prize: a Big Bear 400 4x4 IRS Camouflage ATV to be exact.

Just to get to the Indoor World Championship is an impressive feat.  Competitors must get through one of two qualifying tournaments held in Columbia, South Carolina, March 23-25, and Birmingham, Alabama, July 20-22.  The top 24 from each event advances to the finals, and the top single shooter at each event wins a Yamaha Big Bear 250.  Mark Herring, Jr., a seven-year veteran from Kent, Ohio, won the first of the two qualifiers and is on his way to Greensboro.

The Buckmasters Expo is a hunter’s smorgasbord, including countless hunting products, accessories and services.  For its part, Yamaha will be on hand displaying the toughest ATV and Side-by-Side vehicles on the market, including the new Grizzly 700 and the Rhino 660Randy Oitker, one of the most well recognized and successful precision archers in the history of the sport, will set up at the Yamaha Outdoor tent showing off his amazing skills.   Another fan favorite is the Young Bucks area, which is full of action for kids with archery and airguns at “just-for-kids” shooting ranges and a lot more.

Today, Buckmasters shares its mission through multiple magazines and television shows that reach millions of sports men and women around the world.  For more information about the Buckmasters Expo, go to http://www.buckmasters.com/EXPO2007.htm.
