Buckmasters Expo 2007, presented by Yamaha, entertained close to 20,000 outdoorsmen and women at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C., this past July 27-29.

This was the 21st Buckmasters Expo and the third in Greensboro.

Jamie Patterson, of Tallassee, Alabama, won the Buckmasters Top Bow Indoor World Championship, which puts 48 of the country’s top archers in a head-to-head competition within the famous Buckmasters 3-D Sport Target System.  Patterson, a relative rookie in bow competition, surprised many of the veteran archers and took home the grand prize of $25,000.  Justin Martin, of Enterprise, Alabama, took home a Yamaha Grizzly 350 4x4 IRS Camouflage ATV for taking second place.  Sheila Gay, from Gordo, Alabama, was the lucky Yamaha raffle winner of a Big Bear 400 4x4 IRS Camouflage ATV.

The Buckmasters Expo is a hunter’s smorgasbord, including countless hunting products, accessories and services.  For its part, Yamaha displayed the toughest ATV and Side-by-Side vehicles on the market, including the new Grizzly 700 and the Rhino 660Randy Oitker, one of the most well recognized and successful precision archers in the history of the sport, set up at the Yamaha Outdoor tent and showed off his amazing skills.

Another fan favorite was the Young Bucks area, which was full of action for kids including archery and airguns at “just-for-kids” shooting ranges.

Buckmasters recently announced that it will bring its Expo back to Montgomery, Alabama, August 15-17, 2008, and that they will decide later this summer if they will also return to Greensboro.

Yamaha, a founding sponsor more than 20 years ago, continues to support Buckmasters’ overarching efforts to represent and promote a positive public image of ethical hunting and an awareness of the essential role of hunting as a necessary conservation tool.  Today, Buckmasters shares its mission through multiple magazines and television shows that reach millions of sportsmen and women around the world.  For more information about the Buckmasters Expo, go to http://www.buckmasters.com/EXPO2007.htm.
