Randy Oitker is one of the most well
recognized and successful competition archers in the history
of the sport. By the age of 17 he had twice been named
North American Bow Hunters (NABH) World Champion and was
named Shooter of the Year three times. In total, Randy
holds 17 national archery titles.
Sponsored in part by Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, Randy
now travels the country showing his skills in precision
target shooting exhibitions and promoting the sport to
kids of all ages. His signature trick, shooting three
arrows to simultaneously strike three tiny Life Saver
candies from a distance of more than 40 feet, is an awe
inspiring display of concentration, discipline and skill.
Randy enjoys working with kids at each of his events,
where hundreds and sometimes thousands gather to see him
shoot. His ongoing goal throughout each of his shows is
to promote the sport in a positive way and to help illustrate
the benefits of hard work and dedication.
Randy appears throughout the year at events for Buckmasters,
Cabela’s, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and even
NASCAR. He also is currently writing a column and producing
a TV show, both of which are titled “Through the
Eyes of a Young Hunter.”
