Yamaha Announces 2012 U.S. Road Racing Contingency Program

February 13, 2012 Cypress, CA - Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., today, announced its Road Racing Contingency Program for the 2012 season. The program is designed to encompass a broad spectrum of road racing series in the U.S., from AMA Pro Racing and WERA to several regional road racing organizations, as well.

Commenting on the program, Mike Guerra, Racing Division Department Manager for Yamaha, said, “We’re very pleased to, once again, provide contingency support to Yamaha road racers across the U.S. At Yamaha, racing is deeply ingrained in our corporate DNA. We thrive on competition, and it compels us to keep moving forward and keep improving the products and services we offer. Our Road Racing Contingency Program gives us an important opportunity to reach out to those racers who rely on our products to compete and win.”

Road racers across the country who compete in sanctioned events aboard the Yamaha YZF-R6® and/or crossplane-crankshaft YZF-R1®—while displaying the Yamaha brand, as well as Yamaha’s trademark “tuning forks” logo—are eligible for support through the Contingency Program.
