Yamaha Motor Corporation U.S.A. offered another incredible opportunity to bid for a full set of racing gear from Team Monster Tech 3 Factory MotoGP star Colin Edwards through an eBay auction.  All monies raised benefit Feed The Children, Yamaha Motor Corporation’s charity.  The gear will be presented, in person, by Colin at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during the race weekend.

The Colin Edwards package included a full set of gear worn by the American MotoGP Star, including Spidi leathers, his Arai Helmet, and Sidi boots and gloves.

The winning bid of $6,002.99 also included a pair of weekend three-day general admissions passes to the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, July 3-5 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and a hotel room for the Friday – Saturday – Sunday nights.

The winning bidder will be invited on stage Saturday evening just before the scheduled concert ceremonies to receive their personally autographed gear directly from the Texas Tornado himself, Colin Edwards.

“This was a great opportunity for a true race fan to get an actual set of riding gear from one of America’s favorite MotoGP stars” said Bob Starr, Yamaha’s General Manager of National Communications, “and one of the best parts is the fact that the monies go to such a worthy cause.”

The auction was conducted on eBay May 21-28, 2009.
