Cypress, CA - July 7, 2008 – Yamaha is proud to announce that its prestigious Weekend of Champions event will return to Monterey, California once again for this year’s Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix beginning next week at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Racing fans will be treated to autograph sessions with past Yamaha racing champions including Pierre Karsmakers, Broc Glover, Steve Baker, Scott Russell, Gary Jones, Jamie James, Jeff Emig, Thomas Stevens, Rick Burgett, Don Emde, Kel Carruthers, Mike Bell, Randy Mamola, Doug Henry, Rich Oliver, Damon Bradshaw, Wayne Rainey, and this year’s inductee into the “Legends of Laguna Seca” and four time World Champion, Eddie Lawson. The one and only Larry Maiers will also return to provide interviews and “color commentary” with each rider throughout the weekend.
The autograph sessions will be part of the many activities planned for the “Yamaha Marketplace” and are scheduled at fan friendly times on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
