AMA Road Racing March 5 - 8, 2008 | Daytona Beach, FL Results

Supersport Final (Thurs)... After qualifying 1-2, Graves Motorsports/Yamaha riders Ben Bostrom and Josh Herrin finished the 22-lap final in the same order. The twin 2008 YZF-R6's left all other bikes in their blue wake, finishing more than three seconds ahead of the third-place finisher. Bostrom rode a masterful race, with young Herrin nipping at his heels on the final lap, resulting in a gap of just .012-second at the checkered flag. With supreme confidence in his R6, Bostrom has declared that he is going to try to win every Supersport race this season. Admittedly, though, he knows he's got a talented teammate in Herrin, and the pair will undoubtedly put on an awesome show all season long. Congratulations to Ben Bostrom on the win and Josh Herrin for coming in a close second. Cool Daytona desktop wallpaper.

Superbike Final (Sat)... It was great news/not-so-great news for the Yamaha Factory Superbike Team. Jason DiSalvo put himself and his YZF-R1 on the podium with a third-place finish. Jason stayed in the top three throughout the 15-lap race--a testament to DiSalvo's racing abilities and the consistent performance of the 2008 R1. In the winner's circle, Jason said, "I'm really fortunate Yamaha gave me this opportunity to ride the bike. The Yamaha R1 was rippin' out there today...this bike is so fun to ride." Meanwhile, teammate Eric Bostrom, on the other hand, had an off day and had to retire from the race on lap 10. Credited with 25th position on the day, Eric is looking forward to the next race at Barber Motorsports Park where he's determined to come back strong.
