YFZ450X ATVs at the sixth round of the 2011 GNCC ATV series in Gosport, IN. on Saturday, May 14. Cecco started up the pro wins in the morning Women’s race, where she led nearly every lap to earn her second victory of the season – and take over the points lead in the process. Coming into the Indiana round undefeated, Fowler already possessed the XC2 Pro Am points lead, but his fifth consecutive win added even more to it – the teenager now has a gaping 49-point advantage over Yamaha-mounted Gabe Phillips in the standings. Equally important for Yamaha, for the first time this year, the entire XC2 Pro Am podium was filled with blue-and-white YFZs, including Fowler, second-place Patrick McGuire, and third-place Phillips.

As a multi-time GNCC champion, Cecco well knows how to win. She put that knowledge to good use on the challenging Indiana course on Saturday morning, building up a slender lead over rival Lexie Coulter on the first of five laps, slipping a minute behind Angel Atwell, another rival, on lap two – and then recovering to build up an amazing lead of nearly five and a half minutes over fellow Yamaha rider Kristen Atwell as Lexie and Angel faded or encountered difficulties. So fast was Traci, that besides winning the Women’s race, she also finished third overall among over 300 riders competing in 22 classes during the morning race.
Womens'... The weekend started on a high note for young Fowler, as his mom threw him a high-school graduation party at the event on Friday evening. When race time arrived Saturday afternoon, though, Fowler was all business. He jetted to the X2 Pro Am holeshot and then led from flag to flag over four long laps, eventually building a lead of nearly 2 min. 40 sec. But the win was not effortless, as a rainstorm turned the course from dusty to super muddy. In addition, Fowler had to stop for two minutes to remove a fence post jammed in the front of his ATV. “My YFZ worked awesome today.” he enthused later. “I actually got the holeshot for the first time this season and lead the race from start to finish.” Yamaha ATV racing coordinator Donnie Luce added, “Walker and his YFZ continue to achieve excellence by adding yet another win to his expanding racing resume.”
