Happy Anniversary, Yamaha! Yamaha Motor celebrated its 50th anniversary with an exclusive party at the Monterey Bay Aquarium attended by Yamaha dignitaries, current MotoGP World Champion, Valentino Rossi and his teammate Colin Edwards, the great Kenny Roberts, and many more racing champions. The Yamaha road racing heroes in attendance also included: Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson, Giacomo Agostini, Kel Carruthers, Randy Mamola, Rich Oliver, Steve Baker, Thomas Stevens, Jamie James, and Don Emde. Off-road racing legends included: Gary Jones, Pierre Karsmakers, Rick Burgett, Broc Glover, Damon Bradshaw, Mike Bell, Marty Moates, Doug Henry, and Jeff Emig.
