To
commemorate its 50 year tradition of winning championships,
Yamaha Motor Corp., USA brought its popular “Weekend
of Champions” program to the Red
Bull U.S. Grand Prix race weekend at Mazda Laguna Seca
Raceway, providing fans with an opportunity to
meet 19 legendary motorcycle racing champions and collect
autographs.
On hand to sign free commemorative
posters were past Yamaha road racing heroes: Wayne Rainey,
Eddie Lawson, Giacomo Agostini, Kel Carruthers, Randy
Mamola, Rich Oliver, Steve Baker, Thomas Stevens, Jamie
James, and Don Emde. Off-road racing legends included:
Gary Jones, Pierre Karsmakers, Rick Burgett, Broc Glover,
Damon Bradshaw, Mike Bell, Marty Moates, Doug Henry, and
Jeff Emig.
All autograph sessions took place
in the Yamaha Marketplace located in the Lakebed area
at the track.
