- Genesis® 150FI 4-stroke engine
The Genesis 150FI 4-cylinder engine is designed to build high horsepower and keep weight low. It cranks out 150hp-class performance. The engine’s high-tech fuel injection system delivers quick, crisp throttle response and as a bonus it runs significantly cleaner than many snowmobile engines on the market today. - Advanced fuel injection system
The high tech, low-pressure fuel injection system uses an injector and butterfly valve throttle body on each cylinder to aid in delivering outrageously crisp throttle response, 150 horsepower production and excellent fuel economy. - Lightweight rear-exiting titanium exhaust
The exhaust pipes coming out of the Genesis 150FI engine are configured in a 4-2-1-2 design. The exhaust, featuring titanium head pipes, adds to the engine’s higher output and also reduces weight. The patented rear exit design serves many performance-enhancing functions. First, it cools the pipe by running it down the tunnel, where it can be snow-cooled. Second, it reduces the amount of under-hood heat produced. Third, the rear-exiting design distributes weight to contribute to the excellent balance of the sled. - Lightweight forged crankshaft
The forged crankshaft in the Genesis 150FI is 2.2 pounds lighter than the original in the Genesis Extreme. This is a large contributing factor in the Apex LTX GT’s razor-sharp throttle response. - Lightweight hydraulic brake system
The lightweight 4-piston brake system delivers solid stopping power without fading, even in high-use applications. It also incorporates a lightweight, double-finned, self-cooling brake disc. - 15x136x1.25-inch Camoplast® Rip Saw™ track
The Camoplast Rip Saw track is a standard feature on the Apex LTX GT. It has been widely acclaimed in the industry as the best all-around OEM track for acceleration, cornering bite and everyday trail usage. The Rip Saw track development is the result of a collaborative effort between Yamaha and Camoplast.

- Deltabox™ II with comfortable rider-forward position
The primary design objective of the Deltabox II chassis was to create a comfortable rider-forward posture. The ergonomic treatment is achieved by locating the handlebars and seated position high and forward on the chassis. With this positioning, the rider can go from sitting to standing and back again easily and comfortably. It also further centralizes the combined mass of sled and driver, for razor-sharp handling. - Second generation front suspension geometry
The geometry of the second generation front suspension features short spindles and long A-arms. The suspension was engineered to deliver excellent cornering stability and consistent turning effort throughout its travel stroke. It delivers 9 inches of vertical travel and sets the skis at 42 inches. Steering is consistent, because the spindle caster is maintained at a constant 23 degrees. - Tall, wide, hooked handlebars
To match the tall and forward position, a single-piece, dual-hooked handlebar is standard fare on the Apex LTX GT. The hooks have the same grip material as the main bar section, for consistent control, regardless of hand position on the grip. - Integrated airbox/small hood
The design on the Apex LTX GT is very efficient, often integrating many functions into one component. One such example is the use of the airbox as a part of the hood design. The upper element, closest to the headlight, is comprised of the silencer cover for the airbox. This design feature allows for a very small hood piece, which keeps weight low. - Magnesium chaincase
The Apex LTX GT features a lightweight magnesium chaincase. The exotic material is a pound lighter than the previously used aluminum chaincase on other models. - Saddleless plastic skis
The saddleless plastic ski offers low unsprung weight and its aggressive keel design provides strong bite to help the Apex LTX GT corner.

- Öhlins® Mono Shock® EC 136 rear suspension
The Öhlins® Mono Shock EC 136 rear suspension is highlighted by a push-button activated, electronically-controlled Öhlins® shock. Owners can access the tuning function and readout by pressing the “Mode” button on the gauge. Once in suspension mode, the shock is adjusted by tog-gling the left side handgrip warmer button and the gauge will display the adjustment level. While the Öhlins® Mono Shock EC 136 rear suspension delivers full range compression adjustability from handlebar, the rebound is adjustable via a clicker on the shock body. - GYTR™ dual-clicker front shocks
Lightweight premium GYTR dual-clicker shocks offer riders the highest level of tunability on the market with 12 clicks of compression AND 20 clicks of rebound damping. Large, glove-friendly knobs make adjustments easy. The piggyback reservoir gives the shock increased fade resistance in periods of intense use. - Tall, lightweight seat
The Apex LTX GT’s lightweight seat features a roomy cargo space. The height of the trail seat makes it even easier to go from sitting to standing, while the firm foam provides extra comfort. It features a color band to match the sled’s lines and graphics. - Wide runningboards with star-punched traction
The Apex LTX GT’s wide runningboards feature star-punched traction throughout their entire length. The boards also have an outer traction roll for additional sure footing. As an added benefit, the traction holes help evacuate snow and slush from the runningboard, delivering additional confidence and comfort. - Digital gauge with extensive data features
The Apex LTX GT features a digital gauge array that displays a wide variety of data. Readouts include barometric measurements, dual trip meters and a clock. The digital gauge also serves as a readout and control center for the Öhlins® Mono Shock EC suspension. In addition to the func-tions, the gauge has been styled to match the aggressive lines of the body work and console area. - Standard electric start
Yamaha’s electric starter system allows consumers to fire up their Apex LTX GT with the turn of a key. There is no pulling on a nylon cord to get this high-tech engine growling! Electric start is a standard feature on all of Yamaha’s 4-stroke machines.
