Thomas Brown, a fresh face to Team Yamaha in 2008, has been on the racing circuit since 2004 when he won the National 90 Mod title. Brown raced the ATVA Grand National circuit as soon as he turned 16 in 2005 placing second in his age group and in the top five of the 4-stroke A class. That is when he decided to run his first WPSA race placing third in the A class and age group. Impressive finishes for a new, young rider! In 2007, Brown moved up to the Pro-Am class at WPSA on his Yamaha YFZ450, placing in the top five in numerous races and finishing fourth overall. His consistency and style caught the eye of Yamaha Factory Racing leading him to the pro team for 2008. His goal for this year, his first as an official Yamaha-sponsored rider, is to consistently finish at the top and continue to grow as a pro racer. "I love training and winning -- to see all my hard work pay off," Brown said. "This year I hope to win the Pro-Am title in both the ATVA and WPSA series." Brown has also won recognition off the track for his success and style. He has been featured in several racing videos, magazines and newspapers and participated in the 2007 Quad Wars. One ATV dealer who has worked with Brown calls him "the youngest up-and-coming rider the Pro-Am class has to offer."
