At Yamaha, we look at a sled’s target rider and develop whole suspension systems to meet their core needs. The headline in suspension for 2009 is the all-new Dual Shock™ CK 144 (above) on the FX Nytro XTX. The culmination of six generations of crossover rear suspension designs, this new fully coupled skid lets you ride where you want to. The core of our ultimate crossover sled’s functionality is its aggressively tipped-up rear suspension rails. At the point where a traditional 121-inch rear suspension ends, the new Dual Shock 144 CK is tipped up at a six-degree angle, giving it the footprint of a short track sled on hardpack. But, as the trail gets choppy, the rails bridge the bumps like a 136-inch sled. Finally, as the trail disappears and you’re riding in beautiful, fluffy fresh snow, the FX Nytro XTX has the excellent flotation of a 144-inch sled.



Dual Shock™ Pro The Dual Shock Pro has been tested, refined and totally abused as part of our Factory Snocross team program. The result is a high performance, rough trail suspension system designed to handle the nasty bombed-out trails and ditches all season long.		Dual Shock™ CK 144 Crossover enthusiasts demand great flotation and handling from their sleds. The best way to achieve fresh snow flotation is through a long track. The new Dual Shock CK 144’s tipped rails allow the full length of the track to be in the fresh snow for flotation and for acceleration.

Mono Shock® RA 136 The Mono Shock RA 136 rear suspension delivers excellent comfort and trail handling. ProComfort® CK 144 The all-new ProComfort CK 144 touring suspension is designed for excellent ride comfort and consistent anti-bottoming for one rider or two. A new high-performance aluminum clicker shock on the rear arm delivers uncomplicated compression damping adjustability.
