After an exciting and challenging contest, here are the results of the 2011 USTGP:
1st Eric Romanowicz Mondus Motorsports - Hudson, WI
2nd Bryan Harner Yamaha of Camp Hill - Camp Hill, PA
3rd Tom Blackwell LeBard & Underwood Inc. - La Habra, CA
These 3 Finalists all arrived in Atlanta Georgia on Tuesday June 15th and were greeted with very hot and humid weather. Things immediately got hotter, as the contestants got to work right away in the hands-on technical skills competition, where they had a very short time to accurately diagnose typical customer failure complaints or running-performance problems.
After the competition, the finalists were escorted to the Barber Motorsports Park and Museum in Birmingham Alabama for a private tour of the world famous Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.
The contestants also attended Round 5 of the AMA Pro Road Racing series at the Barber Motorsports Park and were given VIP treatment by the Monster Energy Graves Motorsports Yamaha and Yamaha Extended Service/Pat Clark Racing/Graves Yamaha race teams with full access to the team paddock and hot pits.
The contestants were given unprecedented access to the Graves Race Team and race technicians who explained the inner workings of the team and secrets to building a championship winning Yamaha.
