Erickson’s new retractable ratchet solves the problem

of excessive webbing. With this innovative tie

down, only the webbing needed to secure the load is

unrolled from the spring-loaded compartment. Once

installed, the strap is then tightened like a normal

ratchet. When not in use a strong return spring rolls

the webbing up, similar to a seat belt or tape measure.
