Innovative features plus luxury comfort and remarkable value prove to be a winning combination for Yamaha’s best-selling VX® series

October 22, 2007KENNESAW, GA – The 2007 personal watercraft (PWC) selling season officially ended September 30, and the Yamaha VX Cruiser led the industry as the best-selling PWC model of 2007.

The VX Cruiser showcases Yamaha’s trademark of affordable luxury. The innovative Cruiser® seat design, the most reliable, fuel-efficient engines in the industry, and an affordable price tag proves that Yamaha’s strategy to give its consumers premium products at an exceptional value continues to succeed.

This is the second model in Yamaha’s VX® series to achieve best-selling status. Last year, Yamaha’s VX Deluxe™ was the best-selling PWC of 2006. In all, three out of the top five best selling PWC in 2007 were Yamaha WaveRunners®.

The Yamaha VX Series has been recognized all year long as a top model in the industry, receiving both Boating Life’s® “Best of 2007” award and Watercraft World’s® “Best in Class” recognition.

"The VX series has revolutionized the personal watercraft industry by offering price conscious customers a full featured, full size, four stroke watercraft at an amazing price," says Bryan Seti, Yamaha’s national marketing manager. "Since its introduction we’ve seen a resurgence in the entry level marketplace with an influx of new buyers entering the PWC lifestyle.  The VX Series has proved to be an important product for this industry as much as it’s been an important product for so many consumers."

For 2008, Yamaha’s VX Series returns with all new colors and graphics, starting at $7,399 MSRP.
