Misc.: Every year over one-half million people enjoy Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area. The beautiful park, situated on the tips of two barrier islands, is surrounded by gorgeous water. The Atlantic Ocean is on the east, the Indian River Lagoon to the west and the Sebastian Inlet flows between the two. In 1971 the State of Florida acquired the land for a park. It is a favorite spot for picnicking, swimming, surfing, fishing, shrimping, clamming, crabbing, boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, bird watching, camping and enjoying nature.

Misc.: The park offers picnicking, swimming, canoeing, camping, saltwater fishing, boating and wilderness hiking in the park's 1,650-acre wilderness preserve. St. Joseph offers luxury, furnished cabins located on the bay side of the park. There are 119 campsites with water, picnic tables and grills. Electricity is available on 97 of the sites. Campsites and cabins can be reserved by phone or in person. There is also a special tent camping area for organized, non-profit youth groups. A boat ramp, boat basin and canoe rentals are available.

Misc.: The Ochlockonee, which is joined by the Dead River offers visitors an ideal setting for a picnic with a view. A boat ramp provides access to the river, Ochlockonee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Family camping and separate youth camping facilities are provided, as are swimming and picnic areas. During summer months, ranger-guided walks and campfire programs are provided.
