The Parkway is located adjacent to Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive and may be accessed either by taking Exit Number 15 (Sherman Avenue) from Interstate 90, or from the city of Coeur d’Alene by going west on Sherman Avenue to Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

The Coeur d’Alene Parkway lies along the north shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, following Centennial Trail east from Coeur d'Alene to Higgins Point. At Higgins Point there is a boat-launch facility, a picnic area overlooking the lake and moorage docks.

Off U.S. 12, Freeman Creek Campground Cavendish area. Dworshak State Park is about a one-hour drive from Lewiston or Moscow and 45 minutes from Orofino. Roads to the park are a combination of two-lane asphalt and maintained gravel. The final two miles of road are a paved, twisting, narrow, 10-percent downgrade.

Dworshak State Park is located among trees and open meadows on the western shore of Dworshak Reservoir. The area is known for its moderate summer nights and mild winter temperatures. Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and water-skiing are just some of the many activities that await park visitors. A boat ramp and handling dock provide easy launching most of the year.
