Carolina Beach State Park

Directions: Ten miles south of Wilmington off NC Highway 421, in New Hanover County
Misc.: Carolina Beach State Park offers access to a variety of waters: the fresh waters of the Cape Fear River, the estuarine waters of Masonboro Sound, and the salt water of the Atlantic Ocean. A marina with two launching ramps and more than 40 boat slips is located at the junction of Snow's Cut and the Cape Fear River. Fuel, snacks, fishing, camping supplies, and restrooms with showers are available.

Directions: Located off Hwy. 50, two miles north of Hwy. 98. Rolling View is located off Hwy. 98 on Baptist Road
Misc.: Highway 50 offers a number of boat ramps for easy access to the reservoir. Rolling View does offer boat launching facilities.

Directions: Lake Waccamaw State Park is located in Columbus County, 38 miles west of Wilmington and 12 miles east of Whiteville. The park is located on Martin Road off SR 1947. Look for signs on US 74/76 and NC 214.
Misc.: Boating and sailing are permitted on the lake. Two access areas on the lakeshore provide free boat ramps.

Misc.: Ebenezer Church offers six boat ramps for easy access to the water and these ramps are open 24 hours a day. There are six boat ramps and three docks located at New Hope Overlook for easy access to the water. Seaforth has six boat ramps offering easy access to the water.

Misc.: At Henderson Point, there are four boat ramps offering easy access to the reservoir. There is one boat ramp at Bullocksville offering easy access to the water. There is one boat ramp at County Line. At Nutbush Bridge, there are two boat ramps offering easy access to the reservoir.

Lake James State Park

Directions: The park is located in Burke and McDowell counties, seven miles northeast of Marion on NC 126. From I-40, take the Nebo/Lake James exit #90, head north, cross US 70 and follow the signs to the park.
Misc.: Two boat ramp areas, Hidden Cove and Canal Bridge, offer access to the lake where power boats, sailboats, and smaller craft can also enjoy the water.

Directions: Lake Norman State Park is located in Iredell County at Lake Norman, ten miles south of Statesville and 32 miles north of Charlotte. Access the park at exit 42 off I-77 and follow the signs
Misc.: Launch sailboats, motorboats, and other craft from the boat ramp for access to Lake Norman. A small dock is available for loading and unloading passengers. Parking and restrooms are available.
