Just off PA Route 150, midway between Milesburg and Lock Haven, it is accessible by Interstate 80. East bound traffic should exit at Interchange 23 and go north on PA Route 150 approximately 10 miles to the park. West bound traffic should exit at Interchange 26 and go north on U.S. Route 220 and south on PA Route 150 approximately 13 miles to Bald Eagle State Park.

The rugged Bald Eagle Mountain and Allegheny Plateau enhance the beauty of the 1,730-acre lake that features unlimited horsepower boating. Six boat launch ramps are located throughout the park for public use. Three-hundred and sixty eight (368) marina dockage slips are available for rent by the public on a seasonal basis. Twenty four (24) transient slips are also available for rental by the day.

Beltzville is five miles east of Lehighton, just off of U.S. Route 209. From the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take Exit 34 and follow the signs to the park.

Beltzville Lake is seven miles long and features fishing, swimming, water sports and unlimited horsepower boating. Most types of recreational boats are permitted on the lake. Maximum boating speed is 45 miles per hour. The areas east of Preacher’s Camp launch and Pine Run Cove are restricted to a "no wake" speed. A three-lane boat launching ramp, accessible courtesy dock, wide gravel beaching area, and parking for cars and trailers are at Pine Run East Launch along the northern shore of the lake. A two-lane launch ramp and parking for cars and boat trailers are provided at Preacher’s Camp launching area on the south shore.

Elk State Park is located approximately 8 miles west of Wilcox on State Route 1006 and about 9 miles south of Clermont on State Route 1001.

The main attraction at Elk State Park is the 1,160-acre lake with unlimited horsepower boating. For the more adventurous, water-skiing is an alternative to the serenity of fishing on the lake and in nearby streams. The park consists of 3,192 acres including the 1,160-acre East Branch Lake.

Shikellamy State Park is located in both Union and Northumberland counties. The park encompasses 131.5 acres. The portion of the park in Union County (78 acres) is situated on Blue Hill and is across the Susquehanna River from Sunbury. It can be reached from the town of Shamokin Dam by going north on U.S. Route 11, then turn onto County Line Road. Known as the "Marina," the portion of the park in Northumberland County (53.5 acres) is located between the Borough of Northumberland and City of Sunbury on the southern tip of Packer’s Island, at the confluence of the West and North Branches of the Susquehanna River. The park can be reached off of PA Route 147.

Shikellamy has two distinct areas. The Packer's Island area has a large marina, picnic tables and paved trails. The marina provides access to unlimited horesepower boating on Lake Augusta that is formed by an inflatable dam on the Susquehanna River. The park provides a boat launching areas for transient boaters with 90 parking spaces available for trailer-pulling vehicles and 750 spaces for single vehicles.

The park is reached by PA Route 832 or by boat. The road system within the park forms a loop approximately 13 miles in length.

Presque Isle is a recurving sand spit jutting into Lake Erie and has the only surf beach in the Commonwealth. A total of four launching areas are available which can accommodate various sizes of craft. Vista Launch is only recommended for small watercraft and personal watercraft. Niagara Launch has two ramps and can accommodate small to medium sized craft. West Pier Launch area is the largest facility with four launching lanes and is recommended for larger watercraft. The Lagoon Launch area can accommodate small to medium sized craft.
