Lake Thompson is South Dakota’s largest natural lake, covering 18,000 square acres in Kingsbury County. Boat launching facilities include a double-lane ramp, a dock, toilet and gravel parking lot will also be available at Lake Thompson Recreation Area in 1999. Two more boat launching sites will also be ready for use in 2000 at the new lakeside use area, located at the former M&M Marina. These boat ramps will provide access to both lake Henry and Lake Thompson.
