Angostura State Recreation Area

Directions: Angostura Recreation Area is located 10 miles southeast of Hot Springs, off US 385-18.
Misc.: The park's four modern boat ramps provide access to the reservoir. The park also features a 78-slip marina, beach club and floating convenience store. WaveRunner rentals are available.

Farm Island Recreation Area

Directions: Farm Island Recreation Area is located 4 miles east of Pierre, off S.D. Highway 34.
Misc.: The park is nestled along the shores of the Missouri River and provides a great place for fishermen and boaters to rest their heads after a fun-filled day on the water. Camping, boating and fishing are popular activities at Farm Island. Two boat ramps are available at the park.

Lake Thompson Recreation Area

Misc.: Lake Thompson is South Dakota’s largest natural lake, covering 18,000 square acres in Kingsbury County. Boat launching facilities include a double-lane ramp, a dock, toilet and gravel parking lot will also be available at Lake Thompson Recreation Area in 1999. Two more boat launching sites will also be ready for use in 2000 at the new lakeside use area, located at the former M&M Marina. These boat ramps will provide access to both lake Henry and Lake Thompson.

Lake Vermillion Recreation Area

Directions: Located five miles south of exit 374 on Interstate 90, and 27 miles west of Sioux Falls. The park is easily accessible from Interstate 90, using exit 374.
Misc.: Lake Vermillion is a 512-acre reservoir. The park has a 400-foot swimming beach and 200-foot water-ski beach.
